Steaming stuff is healthy, easy, and carries only one rule to it. You must, repeat... MUST, add TONS of spices to it as otherwise all tastes, well.. tastes like it has been steamed. So for the veggies, we add lots of salt, pepper, herbs of all kinds (at the end), chilies, and yes... garlic - also in the end and VAST amounts of it! For the chicken, we marinate them for 2 days and then freeze them individually. Marinating: Dijon mustard, pesto, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, chilies, honey, herbs and white wine, in all of which we drown the breast filets! |
